Females most susceptible to Sexually Transmitted Infection during Ovulation

STD Infection Ovulation
Females are the most susceptible to infection such as a sexually transmitted disease during ovulation than at any other period of time during the reproductive cycle.  This according to data from researchers in Spain and Austria.  The research suggests that a woman's ovarian cycle plays an important role in a women's chance for infection.

This natural dip in immunity may allow for STDs to affect a women's sexual health.

The new findings have been published in the Journal of Leukocyte Biology.
